Rob Reiner and Robert F. Kennedy, Jr., invite you to enter the 1996 NRDC
International ECO-Awards - the preeminent competition honoring environmental
achievement in communication, graphic and visual arts.
In its 26 years of winning environmental and public health protections for
the American people, NRDC has come to understand the role of communications
in fostering public appreciation for the natural world. NRDC wants to advance
this phenomenon further - and reward the best practitioners of the burgeoning
field of environmental communications.
By entering the 1996 NRDC International ECO-Awards, you will compete at
the highest level of your profession - and gain the opportunity to have
your work recognized the world over.
JUDGING . . .
The 1996 NRDC International ECO-Awards judging panel will meet in September
1996 to review the entries and select award-winners.
CRITERIA . . .
Award-winners will be selected on the basis of technical merit and artistic
creativity. The panel will not judge the company or organization submitting
the entry, and an ECO-Award is not an endorsement of the winner or the winner's
product by NRDC. In other words, an NRDC International ECO-Award reflects
the judges' evaluation of the quality of the entry - not the entrant. However,
a truthfulness standard applies - an entrants policies and practices must
not be in conflict with any environmental claims made in its entries.

BE JUDGED . . .
By a panelist of experts representing the best of the environmental communications
and entertainment fields.
